Startup in E-Med company

HH is a startup in E-Med company what provides to the users a simple blood pressure tracking solution. User can subscribe(simply and "for-free") to the application and get Blood Pressure monitor what measures pressure through the arm cuff and transport data to the application with Bluetooth.

Business challenge

The company's business model is b2b2c where user's are not the clients of the company. Users can use the app for free, but their employers have to pay for it. The application is also a part of medical insurance in the US. HH might add new clients, and based on the client the mobile application should have different set of features, eg: to have support of special glucometers to measure sugar level, AB-testing, user flow tracking.

Technological challenge

The company was at the very beginning and coasts were very important for them, also understanding and providing correct tools for solving product requirements and goals. Company was adding new client and for different clients provided set of features that should be configurable in real time without need of deploy.

Solution

The applications were made under the React Native framework from Facebook. Was made deep integration with React-Native ecosystem to react some native mobile layers to work with Bluetooth. The Application is data-driven Also were made integration with such services as Firebase and Iterable. Application were covered with unit tests and documented.

Result

The applications were deployed on Android Market and Apple Store. After a few major updates, the application became smooth and very responsive. Users liked the application very much, it was seen by high ratings on both platforms(4.9 ios, 4.8 android). Application stability increased yo 99%. MAU increased by almost 2 times, retention became 3 times better, and these are the main success point for the company.
